Good Morning,

Here I am again with another awesome challenge to share with you over at Mad For Markers.

This fortnight, the challenge is to use your Colourless Blender to make a pattern or effect.

I've used my Colourless Blender to make this floral pattern.  First I coloured the paper with R81, and then using the tip of the blender, I made the centre of the flower then using the side of the blender to make the petals.

I must admit I did try a lot of patterns before I found one that I was happy with lol !!

So make sure you stop by Mad For Markers blog today to see some more fantastic inspiration for this challenge, and if you need to re-stock your Copic supplies, head over to the Mad For Markers Online Store for all your needs.

I'm heading off overseas in a few days so won't get the chance to blog for a little bit, but hopefully when I get home I'll be full of inspiration and have plenty to share.

Take care,
Hugs

Layouts

Happy Sunday !!

Just stopping by with a quick post to show you a few of the layouts I've recently done.  A few weekends ago, I went with some scrapbooking friends for a weekend away.  It was such a lovely time away from everything, where I could just scrap, scrap, scrap.  Up until then, I'd been focussing all my time on cards, so it was a nice change to make some layouts.  I've got so many photos sitting on my shelf, and I've now got the bug to do something with them lol.

The first layout is of my 4 year old son at the Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt on Good Friday this year.  It was so much fun, and we're already looking forward to next year.

This layout is of my late grandparents.  I found these photos after my Grandma passed away ... I just love how dressed up she is, so pretty.

The last layout is of my eldest son when he was 10 months old.  He's now almost 13 !!!!  It's about time I scrapped some of his baby photos, don't you think lol ...

Anyway, I have a lot more layouts to show you, but I'll save them for another day and won't bore you all today lol.   I hope you're all having a lovely weekend.  It's a beautiful sunny day here today, and I'm sitting on the back pergola enjoying the sun.  The kids are playing in the yard and we're just waiting for the roast to cook for lunch .... yummmmy!

More Inspiration ..... M4M's Spica Challenge

Good Morning Copic Lovers !!

This fortnight, over at Mad For Markers, the challenge is to create with Spica pens .... and who doesn't love a bit of sparkle !!!

My inspiration is below, and I've coloured this gorgeous La La Land Superhero Luka using some Spicas.

Unfortunately the sparkle doesn't show up too well, however I've used the Red Spica on his cape and mask, and the Gold Spica on his star and wrist bands.  I've also used blue on his pants, and black for the boots .... every good Superhero needs sparkle !!!

So make sure you head on over to Mad For Markers Challenge Blog and show us your entry using your Spica pens.  You'll also be able to check out some more inspiration from the rest of the Design Team.

Also, if you want to add to your collection of Spica Pens, pop over to Sammi's online store where she has all your Copic needs.

Thanks again for stopping by.

Spica Challenge at Mad For Markers

Hi fellow Copic lovers !!

I hope you are all well today, and manage to find some crafting time this weekend.   Firstly I must apologise for not posting this before today, however we've been having serious internet issues here for the last week, but we're all back to normal now, so here I am !!

The new challenge this fortnight over at Mad For Markers, is to use Spica pens in your creation.  Below is my inspiration for this challenge.

Unfortunately the Spica doesn't show up as well as I would have liked, however I've used Lipstick and Red Spicas on Edwin's boots and black Spica on his pants and hat.  I love this Edwin stamp - he's so cute !!!

So, head over to the M4M Challenge Blog now, and show us your Spica creations!!  There might even be a prize in it !!  You'll also be able to check out some amazing inspiration by the other DT members - that is something you don't want to miss !!!

I hope to be back tomorrow to share some layouts I made last week.  It's been such a long time since I've made an actual layout - I've been so wrapped up in card making - but I went with a group of friends last week to a mini retreat, and with no distractions (ie: kids lol), I managed to make a few layouts.

Thanks for stopping by, and thanks again for your comments - they are very much appreciated.

Copics on Material

Hello again !!

This is my second post for the day, so make sure you scroll down and see my entry to the Magnolia Down Under challenge this week.

I have something exciting to show you all today ... well, I'm excited by it anyway lol !!

A girlfriend of mine is having a baby very soon, and I wanted to make her something special.  I'm going to throw her a baby shower in a few weeks, and thought I'd make a nappy cake for that, but I wanted something a little extra to go with it.  Somewhere in blogland (I must start taking notes of where I see things lol), I saw that Copics had been used on material (something similar to this I think).  So with some help and research from a very talented and good friend (thanks Cassie!), I coloured this Hanglar Stanglar image with my Copics onto a baby suit.  My only concern was that the colours would run when washed, however I took this test this morning, and I'm excited that it all turned out perfectly.  I can't wait now to get some more baby suits, and make some more!!  It was quite difficult to blend the colours, however I don't think I did too bad!

I apologise for the photos ... it's a very wet and dull day here, and getting a good pic was difficult.  However, I couldn't wait to share these with you.

Thanks for stopping by, and thanks for all your kind comments, they are very much appreciated.

Hugs,
Honor

Something for me .....

Hello again friends,

This is my second post for today, so make sure you scroll down to see the first image from a new collection from Bizzy Bec's.

I'm back now to show you something I made last night.  I purchased this new Kaisercraft photo frame from my local scrapbooking store last week, and as soon as I saw it, I knew what I wanted to do with it.  I had seen something similar in recent weeks, but unfortunately I don't remember where I saw it, so wherever it was, I thank you for some awesome inspiration.

I coloured the frame with white Kaisercraft paint, and the papers are from Magnolia's "Sweet Rainbow" collection.  The fence is a Magnolia Doo Hickey, and I've inked it with Tim Holtz Distress Ink "Walnut Stain".

The butterflies are also a Magnolia Doo Hickey, that I have embellished with Kaisercraft pearls and Crystalina Kindyglitz.  The flower on the left hand side is a Prima Summer Carnation Thistle, and the sentiment is available from Bizzy Bec's.  The tag is cut from a Magnolia Doo Hickey, and I've coloured the sentiment with Copic R81 and inked with Tim Holtz Distress Ink "Spun Sugar".

The copics I've used are as follows;

Top Magnolia
Hair - E33, E35, E37
Skin - E000, E00, E11, R20
Dress & bow - B0000, B00, B02

Middle Magnolia
Wall - E13, E15, E17
Skin - E000, E00, E11, R20
Jeans - B91, B93, B97
Top - R81, R83, R85
Sleeves - 0, C1
Shoes - E55, E57
Wings - Silver Spica and Crystalina Kindyglitz
Hair - E41, E43, E44

Bottom Magnolia
Dog - E33, E35, E37
Hair - E21, E25, E27
Skin - E000, E00, E11, R20
Shoes - E55, E57
Dress - B000, B00
Apron - R81, R83, R85

The other flowers & ribbon used are from my stash, and I'm not really sure where they're from.

Thanks for sticking around for this long post.  I hope you enjoyed seeing this, as much as I loved creating it.  I hope to be back tomorrow to share some more creations from Bizzy Bec's Butterfly Sweethearts collection.

Have a great evening,
Hugs Honor xo

Bizzy Bec's May Challenge

Good Morning Bloggers,

Over at Bizzy Bec's, you'll find an awesome challenge this month .... making tags!!! These are so much fun to make, and I've used the adorable Tilda on my tag card, with 2 tags. A beautiful friend of mine, Cassie, showed me how to make this card a little while back and I love that it has space for 2 tags ... plenty of space for sentiments and writing your personal message. Check out Cassie's blog here for more inspiration from an extremely talented crafter.

So, to be involved in Bec's challenge this month, all you need to do is make a tag!! How simple is that. Head over to Bec's blog here, and enter your tag and be in the running for a cool prize. I can't wait to see what you come up with.

Mad 4 Markers Challenge

Good Evening,

Brrrrr, it's cold here in Victoria tonight. I think we're going to get down to about 3°C tonight ... we've finally had to crank up the heater for the first time this year, and the boys bought me some bed socks in my Mother's Day present, so they are firmly planted on my feet.

Today I'd like to share with you my card I've made with my new La La Land stamp .... Marci in her winter coat. Isn't she just a gem!! I love this image, and have used her a couple of times already. I've coloured her with my Copics (using the C's). The paper is from the new release from Kaisercraft called 'Chapter One'. The bling and stamped sentiment is also from Kaisercraft.

I'm entering this card in the May challenge at Mad 4 Markers, which is colouring with grey's. This is the first time I've coloured an image in grey's like this, but I think it turned out ok.

Well, it's almost time to snuggle into bed with my book, and try and keep warm after the heater is turned off :-/

Hope you are keeping warm where you are tonight, and thanks for stopping by.

Picked just for you !!

Happy Friday everyone, and welcome to the weekend !!! I hope you've all been having a good week. Firstly I must apologise for my recent MIA. It's been such a crazy few weeks here lately, and today is the first day I've had in a while to sit back and catch up on what's been happening. Between starting a new casual job, having a hubby in hospital and school holidays, I haven't had much time to breathe, but we're having a nice relaxing day at home today, and have found some time to myself.

Today I want to show you my second card for the April GDT over at Mad 4 Markers. The challenge this month is to colour with YR, RV and BG. So head over to M4M blog and check out the other DT member's awesome creations. Sammi has also kindly offered a Hair & Skin colouring book to offer as candy, so if you leave a comment here between now and the end of April, you will automatically go in the draw to win this awesome book. Thanks Sammi !!!

Inspiration

Good Evening fellow crafters,

I hope you've all been having a lovely weekend, and whatever you had planned, I hope there was time for crafting. I actually had a very productive weekend, and over the next week or so, I will have a few things to show you. It was so nice to have time to myself and get creative.

Below is some inspiration for you from Bizzy Bec's new release "Miss Cherry Martini". I have to admit when I first saw these images, I wasn't sure how I'd go or if they were really my "thing", but after colouring the gorgeous Dakota, I found I really enjoyed it and am looking forward to creating with some more of these images.

Of course I coloured Dakota with Copics, but unfortunately you can't see the gorgeous Spica's I used throughout the image .... it really gave her some sparkle !!

So don't forget to visit the other Design Team members blogs to see their fantastic creations with the Miss Cherry Martini range, and pop back here during the week to see some more inspiration for the new images now available at Bizzy Bec's.

Exciting News !!!!

Hi everyone, and welcome to Thursday !!!!! I have some very exciting news to share with you all today ....... for the month of April, I have been chosen to be a Guest Designer for Mad 4 Markers !!!!!!!!!! YAY .... WOOO HOOO !!!!! I can hear the crowd cheering now ..... lol !!

So for my first creation, M4M's challenge for April is colouring with the following colour families YR, RV and BG. Now I have to admit, this was a big challenge for me as I just couldn't imagine these colours going together, however it seemed to work itself out in the end.

I have used this gorgeous Magnolia image .... she's so sweet and I used the following colours;
Hair - E43, E47, E49
Skin - E000, E00, E11, R20
Dress - BG32, BG34 and YR00, YR02
Shoes - YR00, YR02
Socks - C1 & C0
Fence - E35, E37
Grass - G40, G82
Flowers - RV10, RV13

I also coloured a couple of the flowers with YR00 to match the image. The papers I've used are Prima "Sparkling Spring" collection, and although you probably can't see it, I've put Diamond Dust on the main flower for that little extra "sparkle".

Well, I'm not the only Guest DT this month, and I'd like to introduce you to Ashlee and Dana. Make sure you hop over to their blogs and check out their amazing creations for this months challenge.

Don't forget to stop by here again during April, for another challenge creation, and we'd love to see your designs for April's challenge, so make sure you visit M4M's challenge blog and enter your own.

Also, if you're from Victoria, Sammi from M4M will be at Paperific this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and I'm sure she'd love to meet you all. And of course, you'll be able to purchase some amazing products from her during this time.

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you're all having a great week.

Boyz Will Be Boyz ... plus a little extra !

Hi there !!

Today I'd like to share with you all some gift tags I've made with the accessories pack from Bizzy Bec's Boyz Will Be Boyz collection. Aren't they just gorgeous images !! They have been so much fun to work with, and you can get your hands on them by visiting Bec's store NOW, and ordering these adorable digi images for yourself.

I also had a play with this beautiful image last night, and created this card. I'm loving working with oranges at the moment, as it's not normally very high on my list of favourite colours. I must apologise for the poor photo, but taking it last night was a challenge with the lighting.
I left the spot for a sentiment blank, as I wasn't sure what I wanted it to say, but this way it could be used for anything.

So thanks for stopping by, and I hope you've all be having a lovely weekend.

Cheers,
Honor xo
