Christmas Gift Tags

Good Morning,

Today I wanted to share with you all three little gift tags I made for Christmas. Things have been so busy over the last week or so, these tags are the only things I've managed to achieve craft-wise. I have found some time for colouring, however I have nothing to show for it as yet. I'm hoping over these holidays to be able to find some time to get lots done.

If I don't get the chance to post here again before Christmas, I'd like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very Merry Christmas, and a safe and happy 2011. I hope you all stay safe over these holidays, and I hope Santa is kind to you all.
Thanks again for your support since I've started this blog, it's so encouraging to receive the kind comments you leave.
Take care,
Honor xo

Introducing .... Georgia !!

Welcome to the second last day for the preview of Bizzy Bec's Victorian Sweethearts.

I hope you've enjoyed these gorgeous images, as much as I've enjoyed creating with them. It's been a privilege to work along side some amazing and talented ladies, such as the ladies on Bec's Design Team and the members of the Blue Butterflies.

So here is Georgia !!!
I've coloured Georgia with my Copics;
Hair - E33, E35, E37
Dress - V12, V15, V17
Skin - E000, E00
Boots - Spica #11 (gold)
Handbag - Spica #13 (lilac)
Bow - Spica #01 (lavender)
I've coloured the ribbon with Copic V17 to match Georgia's dress. I'm unsure of what paper range this is, as it was left overs in my stash. The flower is Prima (Gwendolyn's Bluebird). I've used the Martha Stewart butterfly punch and sprinkled the butterflies with Diamond Dust.
The ribbon buckle, leaf and flower pearls all came from Bizzy Bec's.
Don't forget to head over to Bec's blog to enter the competition to win yourself a set of these beautiful Victorian Sweethearts.

Bizzy Bec's Victorian Sweetheart #4

Introducing ....... Violet !!!

Today is day #4 of the Victorian Sweethearts range, and isn't Violet just gorgeous!!

I decided to go off-the-page with Violet, and found a gift box that once had aftershave in it. I used Pearl Glimmermist on the box to give it that extra "sparkle".

I coloured Violet with Copics, and embellished around the side with Kaisercraft rub-on's. The pearl flourish is also from Kaisercraft.

The embellishments and charm are from Bizzy Becs, as are the Nestabilities that I bought to cut out the backing papers. Check out Bec's store here for all your scrapping needs.

Hair - E33, E35, E37
Skin - E000, E00
Shoes - Spica #02 (Pink)
Dress - R81, R85
Chair - B0000, B00
So, don't forget to visit the other blogs of the Blue Butterflies Design Team to enjoy their amazing creations. Also, make sure you enter Bec's competition to win a set of these beautiful stamps for yourself.
Thanks for stopping by.

Christmas Bauble

Hi again !!

This is my third post today .... gosh, I think I'd better slow down a bit .... lol

I saw these cute Christmas baubles on a blog a few weeks ago, and thought I'd try one for myself. Unfortunately I can't remember where I saw them, so I apologise for not giving their creator any credit.

I did however choose a different image, and embellished mine differently, and think it turned out quite cute.

I chose a gorgeous Magnolia Christmas image, and coloured Santa with my Copics. The Christmas bauble is from Spotlight, and is one that is specifically designed to put a photo inside. I embellished with Kaisercraft rhinestones and Martha Stewart glitter on the bottom.

It now sits pride of place on our Christmas tree. We decided to get a real tree this year, and apart from the pine needles dropping over my carpet, it's so much nicer than our usual plastic one. If it survives our cats, a real tree might just be a new tradition in our house at Christmas.
Thanks again for stopping by. Don't forget to check out Bizzy Bec's blog here for your chance to win one of 16 sets of Victorian Sweethearts stamps - I hope you've been enjoying these stamps as much as I enjoyed designing with them.
I hope you've all had a lovely weekend.

Copics on Candles

Good Evening All,

OMG ..... yesterday I attended a class, learning how to colour with Copics on candles, and it was AMAZING !!!!

The class was held at Chandon Craft (click here for their website), and our awesome teacher, was Mandi-Lee Klinger. Mandi is incredible. She is so talented, and even after three classes with her, I still walk away amazed and learning many new things each time. So check out Mandi's blog here, and be prepared to be gobsmacked!!!

In my pics below, we made 2 candles in the class (the smaller candle with the holly, and the candle with the little boy). We even made a gift tag to go with the candle, which was very cute and very clever!! I was so excited about these candles, that I came home and made a third one today for a Christmas gift for a family friend. And I'm sure over the next few days I'll be making a few more ..... they are just so gorgeous and perfect gifts. However, they don't just need to be for Christmas. I'll definately be making some for birthdays, christenings, etc.

So, I just wanted to share with you all these gorgeous creations, and thank Mandi for her time and generosity in sharing this class with us all. I'm already looking forward to the next class, and the next amazing installment in Mandi's designs.
Don't forget to come back tomorrow for the next Victorian Sweetheart release - I'm sure you'll love her just as much as I do.
Thanks for stopping by.
Take care,

New Challenge

Hello fellow crafties !!!

I hope everyone is well today. It's very warm where I am today, and a great day to stay indoors, keep cool and create.

Below is my latest creation, which I have decided to enter into the Mad For Markers challenge this month. The current theme is a Christmas card in non-traditional colours. I've gone for purple and green, which I think works really well together.

I love this cute Tilda stamp, and the purple flower is a Prima flower with polka dots, which matches the paper perfectly. The paper is Cosmo Cricket, from the "No Peeking" range.

The sentiment is from Bizzy Bec's digi stamps, and you can find this one, and others just like it here.

So, don't waste any time and pop over to M4M here, and enter their current challenge. I'll look forward to seeing what you all come up with.

Things are very quiet here at home with both my boys away, which is the perfect environment for crafting, so I hope to be back again later this week with something new.

Thanks for stopping by.
Take care

Wedding Card

Good Evening,

Just a quick post today to show you the wedding card I've just finished. As mentioned in my post the other day, I'm Matron of Honour to a wonderful friend and the wedding is now just over a week away.

The paper is from the new Kaisercraft "After Five" collection, and is just gorgeous. You can't see from the photos, but the paper on the bottom of the easel card is a beautiful shiny silver.

I tried to stay with the colours of the invitations, which were black and white, and I added a little blue to Tilda's dress and Edwin's shirt to go with the blue of the bridesmaids and the wishing well.

I've decided to enter this card in Bizzy Bec's challenge this month. The theme is "Cute and Sweet". I love this stamp, and think it is very cute. So hop over to Bec's blog here and enter the comp for yourself.

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you have all been having a lovely evening. My husband has gone out with some mates for the night, and my eldest son is in bed. So with my youngest still visiting with his grandparents in New South Wales, it's been such a relaxing night and a great chance to catch up on some card making.

Now all I need to do is make a start on Christmas cards !!!

Take care
Cheers,
Honor xoxo

M.I.A.

Good Afternoon !!

I feel like I've been missing-in-action over the last few weeks, and I haven't had any time to myself.

We've had a family holiday to Canberra to visit my new niece, and brand new nephew. My niece Hayley is six months old now, and such a beautiful girl. She's developing her own personality, and she's such a happy baby. It was so much fun spending time with her, and of course catching up with her mum and dad. Our new nephew, Michael, was born 4 days before we arrived!! I can't believe how tiny he is .... you seem to forget how little they once were. It's just a shame we live so far away. I can feel plenty of "road trips" to Canberra in the future to visit these new additions to our family.
I've also been extremely busy with a very good friend's wedding. It's coming up in just under 2 weeks, and I'm going to be her Matron of Honour. So as you can imagine, it's been a crazy time finalising dresses and all those other things a wedding involves.

I just finished making a wishing well for this wedding too, and you'll be able to see the photos below. I'm really pleased with how it turned out, and have to thank my gorgeous friend Cassie for all her help and inspiration. If it wasn't for her, I'd still be staring at a blank canvas, not knowing where to begin. Thanks Cassie xoxo

My little boy Liam is visiting with his grandparents for 3 weeks now, so I'm hoping to have a lot more time for scrapping / colouring / card making, etc. etc. Fingers crossed I might even be able to get my Christmas cards done. I just need to make a "to do" list, and work through everything one by one.

Anyway, here are some pics of the wishing well. I got a bit carried away with the photos, so I hope I don't bore you with them.

Thanks for stopping by. Take care out there,

Big hugz
Honor xoxo

New Creations

Hello !!

Just a quick entry today to show you a card I've just finished. I'm entering this in the Mad For Markers challenge that is running at the moment. Their topic for this challenge is "digital stamp" .... so all you need to do is create something using a digital stamped image. How easy is that?? So, there's no excuse for you not to enter. Hop over to M4M here, and check out the challenge for yourself.
The image is from The Greeting Farm, and she is called "Dressy Ebony". You can see this image, and other gorgeous images like it here. Of course, I've coloured the image with my Copics, and I've also coloured the ribbon to match.
As it's time to start thinking about Christmas, I found a template for these gorgeous gift bags at Splitcoast Stampers (see here). I've adapted the bags slightly to suit my needs. They are so cute, and the perfect size for a gift card. I'm also thinking of making some for the Christmas table this year, and include some individual treats for everyone. I don't think I'll be limiting these to Christmas either, they are so cute and easy to make, perfect for any occasion.
It's time to start thinking about Christmas cards too. Oh, where to start !! lol
Thanks for stopping by everyone. Take care for now,
Hugs Honor xo

Happy Saturday

Welcome to the weekend everyone ..... it's been a beautiful day here today, and we're expecting even better weather tomorrow. My husband and I spent a couple of hours in the garden today, tidying up the front yard. We've got lots of ideas with the gardens for Spring .... now to put them into action !!

I even found some time this afternoon to put together a card from some coloured images I had done over the last couple of weeks. I love this Tilda, with her blue jeans. It's such a cute image, and you can use it for so many occasions. I love the Magnolia tree too, I think I'll use this a lot.

Well, it's off to the park for us now. Liam is pulling on my arm as we speak !!

Thanks again for stopping by. Enjoy the weekend everyone.

Take care,
Honor xo

a very productive day ...

It's been a great day today. I've finally finished the birthday card I've been working on for weeks. I just hope the recipient loves it now. It's her party on Saturday night, so we'll find out then. Happy Birthday Cass ..... big hugs xoxo

I've decided to enter this card into Bizzy Bec's September challenge. This month the theme for the challenge is "Cheerful Spring", and I love this gorgeous Tilda, with the swing added ..... depicts Spring for me, enjoying the outdoors and relaxing. Although, I wish the weather here at the moment would be warmer .... the kids can't wait to get outside more and into the sunshine.

To enter Bec's September challenge, just go to her website here http://www.bizzybecscardmakingscrapbooking.com.au/

Below is a quick card I've made using one of the many images I've coloured over the last couple of weeks. I've been colouring nearly every night, and have so many images now to make cards with. Apart from these two cards, I've spent the day cutting out images, and making some plans for some cards. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with this image, as I put off colouring it for so long. I just wasn't sure how to colour whites, but I think this turned out ok. The papers are from the Prima "Jack and Jill" collection, as is the stamped embellishment. I stamped it with a Stampin' Up stamp, and embossed for that little bit extra. The flowers are from my stash, but I think it's nearly time to buy some more .... lol.
Well, I hope you've all been having a lovely day. I hope the cycling races in Geelong aren't causing you too many headaches, and you're managing to keep warm on this cold day.
Take care everyone, and thanks for stopping by.
Hugz Honor xo

Tuesday, September 14, 2010

I finally got around to uploading the photo of the Kaisercraft desk storage project that I finished last week.

I used the paper range K & Co. Hopscotch Girl, which I am really loving at the moment. It's just so pretty, particularly the butterflies. You can't see from the pic, but I sprayed the entire project with pearl glimmermist to give it a pretty sparkly effect. The round embellishments on the drawers are from the Prima "Jack n' Jill" collection, and suited the paper just perfectly. The butterflies are also Prima, and the flowers are from my own stash. I also added some pearl Kaisercraft bling to the edges to finish it off.

I still think the embellishments are a bit plain for my liking, particularly as I love using flowers, etc. on my cards, but I do think the paper is so pretty, it doesn't need too much more.

I started working on a birthday card today for a gorgeous friend of mine, however I'm stressing a little too much over it, and didn't achieve a great deal. I've been looking at it for about 2 hours now, and all I have is the base card .... lol. It's just one of those things that I really want to be perfect, and everything I think of just doesn't seem right. Anyway, I'm sure I'll get there in the end and once the birthday has come and gone, I'll post it on here for you all to see.

Hope you are all having a lovely day. We've had a few sunny days here in Victoria, but today has been cold and miserable. Come on Spring ...... we're waiting !!!

Take care everyone,
hugs Honor xoxo

Just a quickie ...

Good Evening,

I hope everyone is well today, and for all you Victorian bloggers, I hope you are all dry and safe. It's been extremely wet here in Victoria over the past 24-48 hours, which is doing wonders for our dams, however, some places have certainly had more than their fair share today!!

My first pic today is a card made with my new Shopping Tilda, and the boutique background stamp I borrowed from a good friend. I was quite pleased with the way this one turned out, particularly as I was straying from my usual love of pinks!!

I also made a quick start on some gift cards for Christmas. These have been made using the new Christmas paper range from Kaisercraft, along with their mini journalling tags, and matching ribbon.

I'm hoping tonight to get a start on some more projects, particularly some off-the-page projects I've got sitting in the wings. I just need to find my mojo, and we'll be off and running ....... now, where did it put it ?????
Take care everyone, and I hope to be back soon with some more to show you.
Hugs,
Honor xo

Latest Creations

Below are my latest creations. The first one is a very quick card I made over the weekend, from an image I'd had coloured for quite some time. I have to admit I'm not 100% happy with the card, when I stuck down the pearl strand around the outside, it didn't sit perfectly like I'd hoped. However, once stuck, it was stuck!! It seemed a waste of everything else to trash the card altogether, so here it is ...

With a craft room full of unfinished projects, I finally got around to completing this box I painted a while back. I used a left-over Princess Tilda that I'd coloured for the hen's night invitations I made, and had lots of fun with heaps of flowers (I hope I didn't over do it) ... lol

I'm going to enter this box into the Mad For Markers comp, which is themed Pink Pink Pink !! I just love pink (as you've probably noticed), and even though my life is full of boys, boys, boys, it's nice to play with girly things sometimes, and I'm getting quite a collection of pretty girl creations. Check out M4M's blog here (http://madformarkers.blogspot.com). All you need to do is use pink Copics on your creation - head over to M4M's blog now, and check out the awesome creations - they are just amazing.
This box will also be my entry for Bizzy Bec's monthly challenge, where the theme is "Anything Goes". Check out Bec's website here (www.bizzybecscardmakingscrapbooking.com.au) for all the details, and this is where you'll also find the incredible cards made by Bec's design team - so inspiring!!
Thanks again for stopping by. Take care, and happy scrapping !!
