Copics on Material
Hello again !!
This is my second post for the day, so make sure you scroll down and see my entry to the Magnolia Down Under challenge this week.
I have something exciting to show you all today ... well, I'm excited by it anyway lol !!
A girlfriend of mine is having a baby very soon, and I wanted to make her something special. I'm going to throw her a baby shower in a few weeks, and thought I'd make a nappy cake for that, but I wanted something a little extra to go with it. Somewhere in blogland (I must start taking notes of where I see things lol), I saw that Copics had been used on material (something similar to this I think). So with some help and research from a very talented and good friend (thanks Cassie!), I coloured this Hanglar Stanglar image with my Copics onto a baby suit. My only concern was that the colours would run when washed, however I took this test this morning, and I'm excited that it all turned out perfectly. I can't wait now to get some more baby suits, and make some more!! It was quite difficult to blend the colours, however I don't think I did too bad!
I apologise for the photos ... it's a very wet and dull day here, and getting a good pic was difficult. However, I couldn't wait to share these with you.
Thanks for stopping by, and thanks for all your kind comments, they are very much appreciated.
Hugs,
Honor
Magnolia Down Under Challenge
Happy Sunday everyone !!!
While browsing blogland today, I came across this very cute challenge over at Magnolia Down Under challenges. If you head over to their blog now, you can see the lovely sketch created by Kristy and have a go for yourself.
The papers I've used are My Minds Eye Stella & Rose "Gertie", and I've coloured Tilda with my Copics. The colours I've used are as follows;
Hair - E13, E15, E19
Dress - R81, R83, R85
Apron & Boots - G0000, G000, G00
Skin - E000, E00, E11, R20
I've added Flowersoft (Sweet Pea) to the seed bag, and sprinkled it on the ground also. The flowers I've used came from Bizzy Bec's, and the bling is Kaisercraft.
Thanks for stopping by.
Take care,
Hugs Honor xo
