a very productive day ...

It's been a great day today. I've finally finished the birthday card I've been working on for weeks. I just hope the recipient loves it now. It's her party on Saturday night, so we'll find out then. Happy Birthday Cass ..... big hugs xoxo

I've decided to enter this card into Bizzy Bec's September challenge. This month the theme for the challenge is "Cheerful Spring", and I love this gorgeous Tilda, with the swing added ..... depicts Spring for me, enjoying the outdoors and relaxing. Although, I wish the weather here at the moment would be warmer .... the kids can't wait to get outside more and into the sunshine.

To enter Bec's September challenge, just go to her website here http://www.bizzybecscardmakingscrapbooking.com.au/

Below is a quick card I've made using one of the many images I've coloured over the last couple of weeks. I've been colouring nearly every night, and have so many images now to make cards with. Apart from these two cards, I've spent the day cutting out images, and making some plans for some cards. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with this image, as I put off colouring it for so long. I just wasn't sure how to colour whites, but I think this turned out ok. The papers are from the Prima "Jack and Jill" collection, as is the stamped embellishment. I stamped it with a Stampin' Up stamp, and embossed for that little bit extra. The flowers are from my stash, but I think it's nearly time to buy some more .... lol.
Well, I hope you've all been having a lovely day. I hope the cycling races in Geelong aren't causing you too many headaches, and you're managing to keep warm on this cold day.
Take care everyone, and thanks for stopping by.

I finally got around to uploading the photo of the Kaisercraft desk storage project that I finished last week.

I used the paper range K & Co. Hopscotch Girl, which I am really loving at the moment. It's just so pretty, particularly the butterflies. You can't see from the pic, but I sprayed the entire project with pearl glimmermist to give it a pretty sparkly effect. The round embellishments on the drawers are from the Prima "Jack n' Jill" collection, and suited the paper just perfectly. The butterflies are also Prima, and the flowers are from my own stash. I also added some pearl Kaisercraft bling to the edges to finish it off.

I still think the embellishments are a bit plain for my liking, particularly as I love using flowers, etc. on my cards, but I do think the paper is so pretty, it doesn't need too much more.

I started working on a birthday card today for a gorgeous friend of mine, however I'm stressing a little too much over it, and didn't achieve a great deal. I've been looking at it for about 2 hours now, and all I have is the base card .... lol. It's just one of those things that I really want to be perfect, and everything I think of just doesn't seem right. Anyway, I'm sure I'll get there in the end and once the birthday has come and gone, I'll post it on here for you all to see.

Hope you are all having a lovely day. We've had a few sunny days here in Victoria, but today has been cold and miserable. Come on Spring ...... we're waiting !!!

Take care everyone,
hugs Honor xoxo

Just a quickie ...

Good Evening,

I hope everyone is well today, and for all you Victorian bloggers, I hope you are all dry and safe. It's been extremely wet here in Victoria over the past 24-48 hours, which is doing wonders for our dams, however, some places have certainly had more than their fair share today!!

My first pic today is a card made with my new Shopping Tilda, and the boutique background stamp I borrowed from a good friend. I was quite pleased with the way this one turned out, particularly as I was straying from my usual love of pinks!!

I also made a quick start on some gift cards for Christmas. These have been made using the new Christmas paper range from Kaisercraft, along with their mini journalling tags, and matching ribbon.

I'm hoping tonight to get a start on some more projects, particularly some off-the-page projects I've got sitting in the wings. I just need to find my mojo, and we'll be off and running ....... now, where did it put it ?????
Take care everyone, and I hope to be back soon with some more to show you.
Hugs,
Honor xo

Latest Creations

Below are my latest creations. The first one is a very quick card I made over the weekend, from an image I'd had coloured for quite some time. I have to admit I'm not 100% happy with the card, when I stuck down the pearl strand around the outside, it didn't sit perfectly like I'd hoped. However, once stuck, it was stuck!! It seemed a waste of everything else to trash the card altogether, so here it is ...

With a craft room full of unfinished projects, I finally got around to completing this box I painted a while back. I used a left-over Princess Tilda that I'd coloured for the hen's night invitations I made, and had lots of fun with heaps of flowers (I hope I didn't over do it) ... lol

I'm going to enter this box into the Mad For Markers comp, which is themed Pink Pink Pink !! I just love pink (as you've probably noticed), and even though my life is full of boys, boys, boys, it's nice to play with girly things sometimes, and I'm getting quite a collection of pretty girl creations. Check out M4M's blog here (http://madformarkers.blogspot.com). All you need to do is use pink Copics on your creation - head over to M4M's blog now, and check out the awesome creations - they are just amazing.
This box will also be my entry for Bizzy Bec's monthly challenge, where the theme is "Anything Goes". Check out Bec's website here (www.bizzybecscardmakingscrapbooking.com.au) for all the details, and this is where you'll also find the incredible cards made by Bec's design team - so inspiring!!
Thanks again for stopping by. Take care, and happy scrapping !!

Happy Hump Day !

Happy Wednesday everyone,

Sorry it's been a while since I've posted, however life has a way of interfering with the important things .... like scrapping ... lol.

Below is a pic of an invitation I've made for a friend's hens night. It's quite a simple design, however as I had to make 20 of them, it needed to be simple !!!

The most time consuming part, of course, was Tilda .... but I really wanted to incorporate her somehow, as I can't get enough of her at the moment. Although, after colouring 20 of these images in a row, I think I'll give her a rest for now .... lol

Today, I'm finishing off the wedding invitations that are for the same person. It will be good to see them finally finished and in the post. Then I can get back to my own projects!!

On a personal note, my eldest son Lachlan is heading off to high school next year, and just received his acceptance into the school he wanted. He is very excited, and he also received a Leadership Scholarship for Year 7. He worked very hard for this, and we are all so proud of him. Well done Lach, you're a star !!

Time to get back to these wedding invites .... hope you all have a lovely day. Here in Vic, it's freezing, windy, and very very wet. Keep warm everyone, and take care.

Happy Monday !!

Good Afternoon everyone,

What an exciting weekend I've had!! Firstly on Saturday, I attended a Copic class at Chandon Craft with Mandi-Lee Klinger. You have to check out Mandi's blog here (www.copicme.blogspot.com). Mandi's cards are just gorgeous, and after all the tips, techniques and fun of the class, I'm so inspired to just colour, colour, colour !!!

Below is a pic of the card I made in class, and after just 4 hours with Mandi, I think my Copic blending has improved (not that I want to blow my own trumpet or anything ... lol). Even though some blending techniques still need plenty of practice, I'm pretty happy with the way this card turned out.

Thanks again Mandi for such a great day!!

Then, after coming home from class on Saturday, I logged on to the pc, only to find that I'd won a gift from Mad For Markers from commenting on their Facebook page. How exciting !! I'm not sure what I've won, but can't wait for the postie each day now !! Thanks Sammi :)

Anyway, thanks heaps for stopping by, and thanks so much for all your comments and support. It's great to get feedback on my work, and I really appreciate it. I'm off now to prepare for another Chandon class tonight .... I can't get enough at the moment !!

Take care everyone,
Cheers, Honor xoxo

ATC

This is definately a first for me. Below is a pic of the very first ATC I've ever made.

Over at Mad for Markers (www.madformarkers.blogspot.com), their July challenge is ATC's (using Copics somewhere on your creation).

An ATC is an Artists Trading Card, and is 3.5" x 2.5", either landscape or portrait. It was definately a challenge for me to make such a small card. I usually like to fill my cards with flowers and bits & pieces, however I enjoyed making this ATC, and will definately be making some more. What a great way to use up some scrap paper!

So hop on over to Mad for Markers today, and create your own ATC. Make sure you check out their blog, as there are some gorgeous ATC's to see.

Well, it's almost time for me to pick up my little one from day care. I hope you've all been having an enjoyable school holiays. I can't believe it's almost over!!

Take care for now,
Honor xoxo
